L43A1 shells

So yeah, last weekend I was walking though dartmoor and I found a pile of these:

Had L43A1, RG and 60 written on the end.

Tried googling them and it came up with a list of like 50 guns which could have fired them.

Also, they were like 3KM away from the MOD area so fuck knows what they were doing there in the first place

Also, I think they're fired blanks, but what do you think?

BI've googled l43a1, and came up with a wikipedia site. said that l43a1 was a mounted tank machine gun, used to sight-in vehicle's main gun, by firing tracer ammunition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_MAG. If they have indeed fired tracers it could be for some sort of show. But that is just what I think

edit: btw the tank would have been an Scorpion light tank..
