Google made a browser called Chrome.

I then went suddenly babbling on about GPU and CPU being combined.

The CPU and GPU arn't a good combination to combine.

They tried it with intergrated graphics and look where that ended up.

It would require an entire new motherboard architecture to reposition memory and even more cooling before it would be fast enough.

Another thing: I don't think using the GPU would be good enough for the browser, seeing as the OS interfaces with the CPU so whatever the GPU processes it has to send back to the CPU anyway.

Another, other thing: Intel ATOM processors arn't that fast, they truely arn't designed for desktops. They're low power and suited for netbooks / laptops. Desktops need power hungry Intel desktop processors :)))

basically its been invented so u don't need dedicated graphics cards within laptops e.g saving space time money and well most things... but they ain't that fast at the moment but its going to take off in time to be very advanced low powered and there fore not needing as much cooling... and yes this topic did drift a bit but its linked since in mine dots and thingshappens tests we was testing because we all had differently amount of cpu's that's why the tests varied on each computers.
Any problems contact me
