see? It has happened again, we all start talking about the train (on topic) then someone pops out OH IT'LL BE LOCKED! Which makes it go offtopic causing it to be locked anyway :(...

Anyway... Nad, you made a better one, yes?

I'm going to make a better one that is exactly like a real life steam engine... with regulator, gears and brakes... oh and shovelling coal. [that can all be done with wire easily] + working pistons.

This includes:Steam engine 1, Shunter, Auto Train, Steam engine 2, next: Electric commuter!

Depends how many props that would be manipulated, if its lots of props, then I believe your computer wouldn't like it

I'm in the process of building it and it is being damned awkward so I decided to remove the pistons and only keep the coupling rods for the wheels to reduce lag and agony. Lag for you... agony for me :P .
Got about 40% of the main engine done up to the end of the boiler. Thingsy is doing the wiring and I've given Electro the chance to design the 5th and final train in the xuras line-up... [This is the 4th]. Drop onto the server this evening and over the weekend and you'll see myself and things slaving over it.
